- Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts ot products

- Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.

- select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist

- Document work completed, both written and on computer

- Must have own steel toed boots

- BrunswickSteel is not on a bus route - must have own transportion

- Previous experience preferred, Competitive wages offered.

We presently have General Labourer job opportunities available.

Individuals will be responsible for a variety of physical labor tasks, and activities including

• measuring materials and products,
• sorting and packaging  materials and products,
• assisting machine operators, assemblers and other workers,
• clean work areas and equipment,
• perform other labouring activities as required.

These positions are permanent full time and may require shift work.

Requirements:

• Completion of high school
• 0-1 year related experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
• Required to have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time and be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.  This includes working in all weather conditions and shop conditions.
• Read, write, speak English.
• Be organized, follow instructions
• Able to work on own with minimal supervision at times
• High level of safety awareness

Experience working with steel or operating overhead cranes is an asset, but not a requirement.

Successful candidates will have their own steel toed safety boots and must have transportation as public transportation is not available.
