Our efforts begin with our active Safety and Health Committee, but our safety focus flows into everything we do. From daily discussions at our huddles to monthly internal safety audits, we constantly examine our equipment and processes to maximize safety.

Safety Training

Every employee deserves to return home after work in the same condition as they arrived in. This is the simple statement that we live by in our business every single day.

Safety is always top of mind in our daily activities. It’s the first discussion point in our daily warehouse huddles, and any near misses are talked about immediately and actioned with our safety committee.

We continue to build a ‘safety first’ culture every day with open communication and an active safety committee. Our team is listening and continuously looking for ways to improve the safety of all our employees.

Joint Safety and Health Commitee Inspections

The Joint Safety and Health Committee sets out the schedule for regular workplace inspections. A member, or members, inspects the workplace.

They may follow the following procedure:

Establish when to conduct the inspection
Review any incidents and hazard reports that have been reported to the Joint Safety and Health Committee from the department
Use and complete the workplace inspection checklist while conducting the inspection
Report any safety hazards that require immediate attention to the direct supervisor for his/her immediate action
Submit the completed investigation form to the Joint Safety and Health Committee for its review
